The time has finally come. I’m heading on my Greek Adventure next month, where I’m visiting some of the Greek Islands over a 2 week period. With this comes one of the best and also most stressful parts of any holiday…. outfit planning! To not get in my own head too much I thought I’d bring you guys along with me as I do some summer holiday outfit planning.
First things first, a white linen shirt is needed on any summer holiday. They are the piece that can make an outfit formal, they can be easily thrown on for a quick lunch and they never go out of trend. This white grandad shirt pictured above is from Topman’s current sale which was one of the best sales I’ve ever seen, so many great steals! The shirt fits incredibly good, being tight around the chest but loose around the abdominal area. The sleeves can be easily changed to the length you want them therefore you can manipulate the shirt to fit any time of the day on holiday.
The shorts pictured above are from New Look Men’s collection and some are my favourite shorts I’ve bought this Summer season. They are great to make an outfit more stylish and can be easily paired with a lot of t-shirts/shirts to create an amazing summer outfit. The glasses pictured above we’re purchased from Topman and are the perfect piece to accessorise your summer outfit with.
As you can see every picture includes one product that I’ve used in a different outfit. For this one the sunglasses from the previous outfit made a group edition to the blue and white shirt from Pedro del Hierro. When summer holiday outfit planning, this shirt was my first choice as it oozes Greek with the blue and white colours. All the shirt’s material is very thin enabling the shirt to be worn in warm climates such as the Greek Islands’ in August (the average Greek day’s temperature in August is 37 degrees celsius… it’s going to be hot).
Now for the bottom half of this outfit. I purposely left the bottom half out of the previous photo to show you how the shirt can be worn with almost any trousers, jeans or shorts. For this look I partnered the blue and white shirt with some black ripped jeans from New Look and my favourite pair of loafers from Topman.
As you can see from this summer holiday outfit planning post, this holiday’s style is more shirts and formal colours instead of streetwear. Although I love streetwear, I believe the outfit’s I’ve chosen will be greatly complimented by the environment and scenery of the Greek Islands. Want to see more outfit inspirations?
